Culminating end of a Great Silk Road Journey - Xinjiang China !

Prologue After a long 16 years, we finally made it to the end of an epic journey!  The Great Silk Road Journey starts with SARS saga in 2003 travelling from Singapore to Italy.  We made it to Venice in that year.  After which we journeyed to the fabled land of Samarkand and Bukara in Central Asia Uzbekistan which is about mid-way of the whole ancient Silk Road. Ultimately we ended the journey in 2019 going to Xian and finally ended in Xinjiang! An epic 12,000 km journey no less! Marco Polo made the epic journey in the late 11th century starting from Venice to China in days of bandits and pirates, wild creatures, camels, extreme climatic and geographical barriers with no airplanes! 30-31 May 2019     Singapore to Xian via Scoot Last day in Tanjong Pagar.   A Wintry Tour of The Netherlands and Belgium sans Luxembourg 26 November – 8 December 2012 Amsterdam (26 November 2012) The travel bug has bitten again. This time round it makes the victim (that’s yours truly) taking a risk of a different kind.   After last year’s adventures in the land of the Pyramids amid the Arab Spring revolution, we are going to fly some 11,000 km to Europe. I know either Dutch, nor French nor German, yet I am taking my family single-handedly on a trip, embarking on a journey to the Benelux countries (namely Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg), without joining a tour group or tour agency of any sorts, and foremost of all, without much fanfare. Cramped

Yes, this country’s too congested. People are suffocating. In trains, buses, hospitals, shopping centres, schools, swimming pools, libraries, work place, there are crowds everywhere. Very soon, the public resources of this country will not be able to support all its citizens, and non-citizens’ needs. The increasing penetrative lifestyle of this city-state is affecting the health and mental state of being. With more than 6000 people cramped into single square kilometre area, Singapore has one of the world's highest population densities. In comparison, London had a population density of only 4,700 people living in each square kilometre on average. England's population density is more than treble the European’s average of 117 people per sq km. Yet Singapore’s population density is far higher than that of London.
